I knew her as Aunt Gayle.  She was an incredible caregiver  to those around her.  She had an inner strength, beauty and  warmth that drew people to her.  It was an honor just to know her and be able to do for her when she needed it.  Love you Aunt Gayle, Ellie

Our family was blessed by Gayle and her family.  They took us into their home as familly not guests when we were stationed in the military far from home.  We will always have those memories.  Like Gayle, John lost his parents to cancer...  We hope to help in finding a cure.

I did not know Mrs Sheldon, but was and am a friend of Carols...and in knowing Carol, I know that this was a Very Special woman....Cancer is an ugly thing and we always hear how much it hurts so many people, but when it effects someone we love it is all together a different story, I know what it is like not to have your mother here with you..Please know that she has not left you.... I feel my mom  with me every day... this is a wonderful thing that you are doing in her name, I am so very sure she was and is extremely proud of you.
A Mothers love is something that NEVER leaves you, you will feel her loving arms embrace you in times of need and  sense her laughter in times of Joy. When you search for an anwser ...LISTEN..and you will hear her voice...
My prayers are with the family,
God Bless you ALL!
BE STRONG, BE FAITHFUL, BE TRUE!

God saw you were getting tired,
And a cure was not to be.
So he put his arm around you
          and whispered...
Time to come home to me.

With tearfilled eyes we watched,
     As you quitely passed away.
And although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.

A Golden Heart stopped beating,
     Hard working hands at rest.
The Good Lord broke our hearts that day,
To prove he only takes The Best.

Gayle

like a lot of people, Gayle was a mom to me. she was actually more than that...she was what a woman is supposed to be.....selfless, strong, supportive, encouraging, helpful, emphathetic, graceful, hopeful, wise, care-giving.  she provided so much to so many for so long, she just always seemed to be thinging about the well-being of others, without asking for anything for herself in return.

there are many reasons to love Gayle, but for me the most important one is that she loved me just the way i was, even when i wasn't particularly lovely. thanks Gayle

My mother was a very special person not only to me and my family but to all those who knew her.  I am in hopes that all who visit this site, will help honor my mother wishes with either joining the ride or making a donation to the Gayle Sheldon Memorial Fund (tax deductable) to help not only find a cure, but to make the public aware of this silent and deadly type of cancer.  My mother may be gone for this earth but she is with us in spirit and is proud for all who take part in the cause.

My Mom was a very special person. She loved life, her family. Mom took care of many family members that where either sick or need a place to live. Mom never complained. She alway made me feel special, I greatly miss her. I hope with the start of this annual ride we can find a cure for gbm.

Gayle, wow there are really not many words that represent her. I mean she was and always will be more than a grandmother. She was one of my best friends. No matter the trouble or problems I would have she would help me through them. And I wish her the best with Lord above. But she will always be with in my memories and in my heart. She will missed all over. Gayle, Gram, I love you and always will.
